At the most recent Gran Turismo World Tour event in Tokyo, I had the opportunity to tour Polyphony Digital’s studios to see exactly how Gran Turismo is made.
The recent Tokyo World Tour event for GT Sport had a significant part dedicated to the newest entry in the Vision Gran Turismo project. Jaguar’s design is the first we’ve seen since the Audi Vision GT in 2018, and marks the 28th vehicle in the unique project.

In recent months, Polyphony Digital has been adding a new wet weather condition variant to a number of GT Sport’s tracks. We first saw it at the World Tour event in Germany, with the wet Red Bull Ring. Since then the team has also added some dampness to Tokyo Expressway and, just last week, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps debuted with rain as standard.
GT Sport World Tour regular Cody Latkovski has won the first ever Digital Cup at the FIA Motorsport games. Latkovski, representing Team Australia, took the win after a hard-fought race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in which the lead seemed to change on almost a corner-by-corner basis.
