Hi Shaun, these new seasonals really are tailor made for your tunes....there are just soooo many to choose.

Beginners' Level Non-Race Car Challenge (450PP SH)

I started with your

Ferrari Dino 246 Gt '71 (450PP SH)

But even I found that really easy. I think the challenge here might be find the lowest power car to give a win.

So I tried

Honda CR-Z '10 (400PP SH)

Mini Cooper S '05 (400PP CS)

Both of which were good for gold.

Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge (500PP SH)

Easy gold with

Isuzu 4200R '89 (500PP SH)

So I then came down a level to

Renault Sport Megane R.S. '08 (450PP SH)

Lancia Statos '73 (450PP SH)
that car really shouldn't work with those suspension settings but it does!!

Of course I had to use the Ferrari Dino 246 '71 (450PP SH)

Gold with them all.

I did try the Ford Focus ST '13 (450PP CS) but I could only manage second. I'm sure a better driver will get gold with that as well.

Expert Level Race Car Challenge (700PP RH)

I find this level a wee bit out my comfort zone so I just went for a banker with your

Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo (700PP RH)

Got my gold and left it.

Thank you for all the cracking tunes....basically pick an Exeter tune and Gold it!

did some races today:
beginner level:
Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 24V '04 (awesome tune, was one of my tunes i wanted to test during my vacation & did, like it very much)
Honda Civic Type R (EP) '04
Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic '13

Intermediate
Honda S2000 ‘03
Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 (this car is a bullet)
to be continued ...

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the Alfa tune and yes, the concept car is definitely rocket like in nature. There was a FITT competition with this car that I organised and it went down really well. A different tune for that event but still fiery like the one you tried.

I second what Shaun says above about this car. I got 3rd place as tuned at 676PP. Added Turbo and adjusted power limiter to reach 700PP and 1st place. Transmission and the rest of the tune is spot on for me.

Added to the list. The LM55 is a great car and if i were a better driver, I would have won this race easily. Need to do more laps I think. Glad you enjoyed the Dino too. What a great little car that is!

In free run mode, this car was running 1.52s around Suzuka without breaking a sweat. Very nice car and supremely fast.

Just tested on 700PP Spa A Spec Seasonal and came 1st in my first attempt. This car has a lot of grip and a lot of speed!

I only had time to run the autumn mini ring in the 400pp Nissan Bluebird 1600 Deluxe (510) on sh tires. Easy win on the first attempt! You can almost get oversteer if you over cook it a little too much in the corner but it's so easy to tell where the limits are that maintaining corner speed is pretty effortless.

For the intermediate race I drove the 450pp Camaro IROC-Z concept and I won on my first attempt. This car is so stable on this track it turns this race into a sedate Sunday drive.

When I have more time I'll be trying some more cars out.

I got some more time to play tonight so I drove a bunch of 400pp sh tunes to gold on Twin Ring Motegi.

First up was the Nissan. After a couple of tries, I changed the final gearing to 3.280 to get the win.
image.jpeg

Next I tried the BMW 2002 turbo, got the win on the first try and didn't alter the tune at all.
image.jpeg

I then tried the Hommel and got another gold!
image.jpeg

Lastly, I drove the MG and got another gold.
image.jpeg

Next time I'll see if I drive any of the 350pp tunes to gold on the autumn ring.

Had another go today, this time I got gold in the 400pp Lotus

That is a lot of cars. Thanks for taking the time to test them all. You had a good grinding session with those tunes. All added to the list too.

I forgot to mention that I changed the final gearing on the lotus to 4.080.

Yep it was a good grind - my bank is full at 50 mill

I had a look at the 350pp tunes but it seems they're all FF except for the CS tune for the Bluebird. That car will probably need SH tires to win @ the autumn ring...

Are there any FR or MR cars that would be suitable for a 350pp tune? If there is, could I be so bold as to ask you to tune one for me? I'll try my best to win at the autumn ring with it.

Well I was inspired by @fordlaser777 to have another go with the 350pp CS tuned bluebird on the autumn ring. It turns out the last time I tried it I had the TC on 0 instead of 1. Well, the car the handles much nicer with the TC on, and I drove to gold on first attempt.

image.jpeg

Managed to get gold in the Minolta Toyota 88-CV '89 and the Audi R8 race car '01 in the expert race. I'm not a fan of this track, and I always managed to earn few penalties in every race so no need to post my times, lol.

I tried to use the Delta Wing but I gave up after 1 lap, the final gearing would need to be adjust for it to be competitive.

I must say I feel like I got my money's worth out of this months
Seasonals,

FITT Italian Power and Fame Challenge

Autodromo Nazionale Monza (No Chicanes)__3.jpg

A new FITT challenge and this time it is Italian super cars that have been given the FITT treatment. Below are two tunes which I hope are going to get good reviews by the testers. They are both user-friendly and will be good for general events other than FITT. Check out the FiTT thread here and see what other entries have been submitted.

If you want to test for this event, contact @Otaliema and let him know and he will get you added to the list. Two fun cars on two fun tracks. Give it a crack and you never know, you might enjoy testing these cars (and others..).

My tunes, along with the reviews as they come in are below.

This tune is designed to be easy to drive and easy to control through the quick succession of corners that Monza has. Note to testers, for parabolica, you must slow down and enter the corner slowly then increase the speed gradually otherwise you will find yourself in the sand. Slow in and Fast out in the nature of this car for that corner. Good luck testers and I look forward to seeing what you make of this.

Tuned with ABS 1 only.

This tune is designed to be easy to drive and for driver comfort, certainly not a TT setup but it can be fast if you keep it smooth and precise. Clean laps are easy to achieve in this one but push it too far and it will hit a wall or two. This is definitely a tune for the masses, as opposed to a tune for the aliens among us. Hope you enjoy it guys. Looking forward to your reviews.

The Reviews

Ferrari SP1 '08

Lionheart2113

Lap Time: 1:07.157
DC Rank: 4th Edit: 9.2
Impressions and feedback: Great tune. Little snug on long corners and the inside rear gets unloaded on hard accel. You can force it to take different lines and have success, except for the last chicane and turns... It's best to listen to the car, slow down, and go where "She" wants to go. Nicely done.👍

(note. This review also won an unofficial consistent lap time award from @Lionheart2113)

RMan72
Lap Time: 1:06.949
DC Points: 9
Impressions and feedback: Great tune. car is easy to drive quickly, can slide slightly on entry into the long right hander meaning you have to wait to get back on the power, easiest car to drive through the last turn as she turns in nicely here.

Thoran Cain
Lap Time; 1:08.617 DC; 9.0
Impressions of the tune;
Of all the cars that went for the stiffer spring/lower ride height combo, this one was hands down the better car. Made for a little more drama and also made the chicane at the end of the back straight more like threading a needle than any other car I've tried so far .But this made it all the more :D when I did 👍. Not my favourite transmission, not my favourite for braking, not my favoutite for overall feel and not the fastest car on my time sheet. But as a complete package it's close to the top so far. Nice work Shaun

Sinof1337
Lap Time: 1:08.103 DC: 9
Impressions of the tune:
A little more inside wheel spin than I would like, but otherwise very stable and fast.

Lamborghini Reventon '08

Lionheart2113
Lap Time: 1:36.439
DC Rank: 9.3
Impressions and feedback: Great car and fun to drive. I would only want to modify the transmission a little for better shift points.

RMan72
Lap Time: 1:36.439
DC Points: 9
Impressions and feedback: Great tune, car just goes wherever you point it, this can be an issue into Curva Grande, but get the entry balance right and she flies. Brakes are excellent and allow you to push on later into the braking zones.

sinof1337
Lap Time: 1:37.983 DC: 9
Impressions of the tune:
A little slippery, but nothing too bad, as shown by the time.

Thoran Cain
Lap Time; 1:38.467 DC; 9,2
Impressions of the tune; Much the same as Xande's tune with the juddering under hard braking but a bit more predictable. Brake gently and early and it's not quite so bad. It is a shame however, I felt this car was pretty good everywhere else, hung in well on the faster corners and had good turn-in and agility to deal with the chicanes well. Not as smooth a ride as others but still capable of quick times (I feel I owe you a few tenths for deciding to "keep it together" in the last bend on the best lap, as just about every time I pushed it more I had to stop for a bit to make some sandcastles :D :guilty:).

The Results
