Gran Turismo 6

The latest version update for Gran Turismo 6 has gone live and brings with it the final piece of the GT6 puzzle – the Course Maker (or, more specifically, the “Track Path Editor”)!

GTPlanet is excited to bring you an exclusive first look at the “Course Maker” app for Gran Turismo 6. Since we first learned that GT6 would greatly expand upon GT5’s course “generator” (which let players generate random tracks within a certain set of defined parameters), it has been one of the most highly anticipated features for the new game.

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6 showcasing this week’s beginner, intermediate, and expert level challenges. The events feature non-race cars and race cars alike tackling technical and high speed tracks. We’re back to online racing this week, with the GTPlanet Endurance Series making a visit to Austria and the newest real track in the Gran Turismo series, the Red Bull Ring.

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6 showcasing this week’s super lap and drift trial challenges. The events feature front engine rear-wheel drive non-race cars, Italian non-race cars, Mazda’s RX-7, and GT300 class race cars. UPDATE: Although these numbers were reported in official court documents, they have since been discredited. Thanks to detective work from NeoGAF and here in GTPlanet’s community, we see the judge quoted sales numbers by VIRAG in their original claims against SCEA, made in July of 2014.

Every now and then we hear of a lawsuit brought against the Gran Turismo games, and it seems that the US arm of Sony’s entertainment branch has been locked in a curious legal dispute for the last 12 months over Gran Turismo. Just like the last legal rumblings, it all comes down to signage, in both Gran Turismo 6 and its predecessor title Gran Turismo 5.
