The 2016 Tokyo Game Show marks the first time the public has been able to play the game since Kazunori Yamauchi announced a push back to 2017. Much like previous public outings, the game will play host to a broadcasted race, featuring a combination of GT fans and professional racers.

Gran Turismo Sport Will Feature at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show

Following the disappointing delay news last week, Sony has now confirmed Gran Turismo Sport will be showcased at the Tokyo Game Show later this month. In a list posted on the official Japanese Playstation website, GT Sport appears alongside other upcoming first-party exclusives and third-party titles set to take place in the ‘stage event’ at the show:

Sony Is Cancelling Digital Pre-Orders For GT Sport

Last week, Kazunori Yamauchi took to the PlayStation Blog to announce Gran Turismo Sport would not be released in 2016. The news came as a shock to players, as the public beta scheduled to arrive early 2016 had already been cancelled to ensure the target release date was met. Yamauchi only said that the game would now be targeting the 2017 calendar year, with a more exact launch window (Q2 2016, April, etc.) not mentioned.
