The first Forzathon event for September is now live and hosts a selection of vintage challenges. Players will be able to scoop a new drop of XP, credits and a Horizon Edition 1969 Camaro Super Sport. This weekend’s events are about chilling out with Playground Games giving it the title “Bonus Stage”.

The Red Bull Global Rallycross series has announced a partnership with Forza Motorsport 7. The new deal will see on-site gameplay opportunities for Turn 10’s upcoming racer, as well as exclusive DLC prizes for participants.

The final garage update for Forza Motorsport 7 has focused on the selection of racing cars included in the title. The range of vehicles revealed varies from classic icons straight through to modern powerhouses. The biggest standout aspect of the list is the lack of new additions.

Two of the most anticipated racing games of 2017, Forza Motorsport 7 and Project CARS 2, scooped prizes at the Gamescom awards ceremony this year. With 21 categories covering a wide variety of games, both claimed one award each in their respective genre categories.

Turn 10 has confirmed that the latest Forza Motorsport title will incorporate the use of in-game loot boxes. Confirmation comes by way of AR12 Gaming, who attended a Gamescom discussion on FM7 that brought up the topic. The incorporation of this feature is a first for the series.

Next month’s Xbox Live Games With Gold will feature Forza Motorsport 5. Announced by Major Nelson, players will be able to pick up the title for free from September 1 to 30. This marks the first time Microsoft has made a current generation Forza title free on the service.
