We can’t really imagine more hazardous driving conditions than those presented in the latest video in Marcel Pfister‘s Mixed Reality series. Night-time combined with a severe snowstorm manages to create a really uncomfortable racing scenario. To experience the danger full-scale, Marcel used an Oculus Rift VR headset in combination with green-screen technology, a well-known recipe we have encountered in all previously-released Mixed Reality videos.

The Forza Garage series of car reveals came to an end this week with a surprise only the craziest of car lovers would appreciate. Week 6 changed things up quite a bit by revealing that the three-wheeled Reliant Supervan III, best known to those in the UK for being featured in the BBC comedy ‘Only Fools and Horses’, would be featured in the game.

Earlier this month, GT Academy winner Nicolas Hammann made his NASCAR debut in the Xfinity series. Competing at the Zippo 200 Watkins Glen International, the American managed a 28th place finish after an oil leak plagued his race. Although not ideal, his placing did put him ahead of a good few NASCAR veterans including NASCAR sprint cup champion Kyle Busch, although Busch did have an accident himself. Hammann’s Xfinity journey isn’t over yet however — he’ll race this weekend in the Road America 180.

Fanatec has just announced the latest addition in its extensive lineup of sim racing accessories: the CSL Elite wheel base and pedal set. The new model sits below the existing high-end Clubsport V2 model, but is usefully more powerful than the original V1. It is compatible with both Xbox One and PC platforms.

While those residing in North America have just a little bit longer of a wait on their hands, Assetto Corsa has finally touched down in Europe and the UK after an arduous adventure. It goes without saying that the acclaimed racer is already being put through its paces, and those currently enjoying the game have had a several hour head-start to enjoy some newer content.

Players looking to get a taste of Forza Motorsport 6 will be able to do just that this weekend. Starting late last night, the 2015 title was made a part of Xbox Live’s Free Play Days initiative, allowing gamers to test drive any of the 460+ cars the game launched with back in September of last year.

Assetto Corsa has landed on consoles today (at least, in Europe and the UK). Players on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get to enjoy the title before it launches in North America this coming Tuesday. If you happen to own both consoles, the video above should help you decide which one to opt for.
