After months of teasing and an expected release window falling through the cracks, Kunos’ Marco Massarutto has made it official: Volume 1 of the Porsche DLC is coming to Assetto Corsa on PC in just over one week’s time, on October 25th.

While we keep our fingers crossed that GT Sport will appear on sale in January 2017, the chances to try out out the latest build of Polyphony Digital’s upcoming driving game keep rolling in. Just last week we caught new Brands Hatch gameplay video from Russia (and a look at the new Hyundai Gr.3 car earlier today), so we hope fresh and valuable materials will appear in France and Saudi Arabia, the next two locations chosen for GT Sport’s continued road tour.

One of the most unique aspects of Gran Turismo Sport are the fantasy race-cars that will make up the ‘Group 3’ racing class in the game. These cars have been prominent in marketing materials for the game so far and also in the playable builds featured at game shows around the world. The news meant players looking forward to experiencing the first current-gen GT game this holiday season would miss out, but word out of Johannesburg suggests the wait may be a comparatively short one in the world of Gran Turismo delays.

Kunos Simulazioni is certainly making the most of its deal with Porsche, at least in terms of pre-release hype.
