Damn Praiano, this is a highly under appreciated tune and drive. I spent the evening running most of the top Porsches, with the best 700pp tunes available for them, in the various Schwardzwald League events. Ran the Carrera GT ‘04, the 959, Cayman, 911 Turbo, the Strass, and both of the recent GT3 RS (which you noted were bad at 700pp) along with your Spyder ‘13 tune.
As far as I was concerned, this car was in a class by itself. You never mention it among your favorites when asked. I’m guessing, from your comments and setups, that it’s because you tend to prefer cars that you can toss around a bit, put the rear where you want with a tap or two on the brakes.
If so, then I understand. This car is exceptionally well mannered. It’s the opposite of the Carrera GT. It refuses to lose control. After the Carrera GT, I’m sure that was a purposeful goal with this car. Most car manufacturers are lucky to have one vehicle famous for their ability to kill its drivers, but the GT gave Porsche their second! The Spyder was not going to give them a triple crown. For as aggressive as I like to drive corners, combined with how difficult trail breaking is to perfect using the G29 brake pedal, I found this car, with your tune, majestic. Thumbs up!!
