Welcome to RKM Motorsport. Formerly RVV Motor Works, one of the top tuners from Gran Turismo 4, we’re continuing our service in Gran Turismo 5, under a fresh new name. Our main aim is to produce high quality tunes that can be driven anywhere by anyone. From the Prius to the McLaren F1, we can tune pretty much anything that can be tuned.

The Tunes

rjsigpb8.jpg

The name's Kyle. On my own time, I tend to build cars that remain street legal but will knock the teeth out of purpose built race cars on Sunday. The rest of the time my main goal is to make customers happy regardless of what that means dealing with. Yes, that includes you over there in the corner with your Fiat 500, and you over there with your overweight Renault, err, Nissan GT-R.

~Kyle

My Tunes:

I’m Rojer, but Roj is what I go by most of the time. I tune cars to punch way harder than cars above their league do, whilst keeping them fun and easy to drive. I usually tune cars up to around 400bhp on sports tyres, but I try to keep a large, varied range of tunes. If you can’t find one that suits your needs, I can hook you up.

~Rojer

Hey there, I'm Sapphire and I'm the new girl. I tune whatever tickles my fancy or looks like fun, or is just something unique. And I never forget than fun is the most important part of driving, either!

Request Policy

We’re continuing our “1 review = 1 tune” offer. You review a car of ours from the above lists and in exchange, we’ll tune up a car for you. It's preferred you supply the car with all wanted parts already equipped but not 100% needed (may take more time if we have to buy + modify the car).

If you're unsure what a review is, take a look at this, this and this. Hint hint. Videos accompanying the reviews are even better.;)

We focus primarily on grip tunes. Drift and stunt tunes will be refused. We may also refuse certain cars or requests if they are deemed to be ridiculous or simply unnecessary.

Below is the request form, just copy and paste it into a message and fill it in. Anything in brackets ( ) you may delete. Thanks!
GTP Name:
PSN Name: (Only if you wish to send us the car, otherwise ignore.)
Your Car:
Sending Your Own Car? Yes/No (Delete the one which does not apply to you.)
If No, Specify Car Details: (Please include as much detail as you can. Tires, power limitations, part preferences, etc.)
Tuning Request: (Please be as reasonable as you can. A Prius wont out-drag a Corvette.)
Link To Review: (Don't ignore this. No review, no tune. It's that simple.)

The RKM Archives

Welcome to our archives. This is where we've stuck all our tunes that haven't been tested and/or retweaked for Spec II. You'll likely notice the list size dwindling soon enough as we update them. They will for the most part still work, but not all of them will still feel as-designed.

Tuner Comments:
For those who didn’t want to start GT5 with the MX-5, there was the EK9 Civic. This Civic Type R has received the magic touch and now storms the tracks with an N/A 282bhp VTEC scream box. As it was my first car in GT5, I gave it the VTi-R nickname. It’s easily capable of keeping up and beating up its RWD and 4WD competitors. Don’t underestimate the FF platform.

Fun Fact: This setup works on the Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car '87.

This is the Mustang Mach R. What we've got here is... Failure to communicate. Ford wanted to see what could be done with this archaic chassis, we wanted to beat up the Viper ACR's Laguna Seca lap. Hence a bit over 600hp and extremely sticky sports rubber, the aero package, gutted interior, and low ride height; this ruined what Ford's vision was (good ride quality, quiet, comfy, and capable) but it did slightly more than we asked for, scoring a 1:32 lap with rather poor lines and a bit of slideways.

My GTP tuning debut was in the form of a Supra Turbo A. It’s only fitting that I’d bring it back for RKM’s opening. However this Turbo A is nothing like the previous one. Whilst the previous one was a comfortable cruiser built for consistency rather than pure speed, this Turbo A has a constant mission to headbutt the horizon. With 419hp, this Supra will win races and win them good. The name Sledgehammer fits perfectly with this brutal 80’s powerhouse.

New for Spec II, the Sledgehammer now features a larger turbo, giving it 452bhp and bag loads of torque to go with it.

385hp in a FWD... On sports tires. This once would've been called madness, now it's still a bit mad but that's why it exists. Normally, the Mazda6/Atenza gets completely overlooked due to it being a four-door family sedan with rather low power from the factory, but doing so is to gloss over one of the best FWD chassis' available.

Given that it IS a nearly 400hp FWD, wheelspin is present but not excessive; maximum torque is available across a rather wide RPM range so using a higher gear than normal isn't always a bad thing. This car will hang with most RWD sports sedans (and more than a few coupes for that matter) without flinching.

Thanks for the review mate.

Also, just as a heads up, the way to embed Youtube vids is to simply put tags without the space and only use the bit after v=.

Like so:

Also, if there's anything you'd like tuned feel free to ask. It's preferred you supply the car with all wanted parts already equipped but not 100% needed (may take more time if we have to buy + modify the car).

no worries on the car just wanted to say hello and think its cool what you guys do, btw that video is horrible lol i had every window open[ nice day outside] 3 windows next to my game tv lol

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the review! :D:tup: I'm glad you found it fun to drive. :D

And as RJ said, feel free to request a tune. You don't have to request it now if you don't want to, the offer stands until you claim it. :)👍

Great tune on the NSX! The car handles wonderfully, very neutral and easy to guage where the limits are. Won the Polyphony Cup with it just now, had a great battle with a Ford GT in the very last race. Would love to see some M3 tunes in the future. Keep up the good work!

Anybody else tried the RX7 setup? Something's definitely wrong as I'm understeering worse than a stock evo.
Edit: Testing was done on Tsukuba and I couldn't do a clean lap without taking every corner at a snail's pace.

You weren't joking when you said it was built for pure speed. That thing likes to get away from me.. haha. Any way to make the steering column feel a little stiffer and more responsive? I feel like there's some lag to steering input if you know what I mean?
I can tell its made for speed... That's for sure. Feels a lot like one of the Vipers on Simbin's GTR for PC.
Gotta be extra careful with the accelerator haha!

I tried your RX-7 R400 and i'm blown away

Nimble and stable at the same time while getting the power to the ground where its needed.
I had a blast driving this on Tsukuba,
i might not be the fastest without my rig and Fanatec wheel, but i could turn low 58's easily (with g25 on a wobbly table).

It almost feels to stable if you know how to drive, you have to really force it to let the rear loose.
That setup feels like it could handle much more power, and i might try adding the missing bits for Timetrial use.

Great handling car, i think i'll try the NSX next

Strange, I'm not having the same experience as nopileus. I just double checked the settings to make sure I didn't enter anything incorrectly. Still understeers especially during corner exits. I have to throw the car into the corners and throttlesteer to make it clean. While it is stable I wouldn't say it's nimble. I'm not a great driver by any means.. getting 58s on Tsukuba with this setup, but then I'm also getting 58s if I change it back to the stock suspension and a lot easier to drive. Maybe it's just not suitable for my driving style.

Something ain't right there. Double check your settings (and tires, and driving aids), it's certainly not an understeer pig. Also, if you're comparing to stuff with R tires it's going to feel like it understeers like crazy because it simply will not have the grip needed.

The 7 is actually the car I enjoy the most to drive (second is probably my F430 Scuderia) because it does everything right. As you mentioned, it's a bit difficult to coax the tail out, but slightly more power should fix that nicely (it'll start to yaw a bit after trail-braking but usually doesn't have the "go" to get loose).

Big thanks for the review. Let us know if there's anything you want done. 👍
It's an RX-7, of course it can handle more power :sly:

It *should* (as noted above) rotate in rather nicely under trail-braking. It is set up to push *slightly* when wheelspin hasn't been forced but I've never found it to actually slow the car down any, and I certainly didn't have to "throw" the car around to get a quick lap of Tsukuba (it actually slowed me down noticeably).

Just tried trail-braking and it does rotate nicely and getting quicker lap times. It's just not how I normally drive RWD cars so I guess it's a driving style issue. Still getting the understeer on exit though. Also noticed my fronts smoking up on most of the hard braking points.

I'll probably review the brake balance settings soonish, the push on exit I don't think I'll do much with as while you might lose a few tenths versus a balls-out time attack setup, you also have to work to spin it. And in a long race, a spin hurts a LOT more than a few tenths per lap.

Nice tuned, do you guy thinking of made the first LFA tuned? It would be awesome
I love the LFA, it's definately on the list of cars to tune. Can't tell for certain when I'll buy and tune one though. :)

Thanks! I used it in the PDC too, that poor Ford GT never saw it coming. :sly: I had an E46 M3 in GT4 that was as pretty close to the NSX in terms of laptimes. It's another I want to rebuild, maybe as an E92. 👍
Do you have the tune to get the ek9 97' to 400hp?
The only thing my Civic VTi-R tune needs is the high RPM turbo to reach 400bhp. Problem is I'm not sure the settings will cope with the power since I built it specifically for 280bhp. You're welcome to try it yourself though. 👍

Yeah the looks dont decieve do they? :P The steering just goes with the era of car. :sly: Nah, in all seriousness, it's a problem that I couldn't directly solve so I just had to make up for it in other areas. I will get back to it and re-tweak it though.

After driving the NSX for a while the RX7 feels kinda soft, but i still think it turns in very well.
Getting the rear a bit more loose would be good.

The NSX-R is a total blast, harder, faster and probably even more nimble.
But being MR its harder to drive
